Truth for Teoh Beng Hock - Inquest on July 29, 2009

There was a cut on Teoh Beng Hock's right wrist which provides another
clue of mental oppression prior to his death! But why was the nature
of the torn trouser of Teoh was never highlighted by the police? Look
at the trouser, how it could be torn horizontally or diagonally if he
jumped from the 14th floor vertically down?

Two pathologists from University Malaya Medical Centre and Tengku
Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang revisited the site of incident to
establish certain facts.

How is the result of the dummy of equal weight as Teoh and thrown down
from 14th level vertically and then horizontally and see the extent of

Body of Teoh is found sprawled sideway at Level 5 of the Plaza Masalam on July 16,2009 at 1:30p.m. by a janitor. Small pool of blood is noticed near his head. His white trouser was torn diagonally exposing his rear underwear. It is my hypothesis that he was thrown off the building at Level 14 either unconscious or dead, only the MACC officers or God knows and the spirit of Teoh knows. Could his spirit tells some day to the family members about the cause of his fall?

It is unclear as why bricks like objects are found near the body of Teoh; maybe as landmark to indicate his original position in case his corpse was removed unknowingly. Apparently his trouser was torn at his bottom diagonally to his thigh which showed it was not due to a jump vertically downward but was dragged against some hard object or window's handle

As for Teoh’s mobile phone, DCP Khalid said police took it from the commission’s investigation officer on Thursday July 16, 2009. As a matter of fact, his mobile phone was still in the custody of MACC which meant his interrogation was not yet over on the day he was found dead.

Teoh’s boss Sri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah, Kota Alam Shah assemblyman M. Manoharan and Kajang Municipal councillor Tan Boon Wah were the last few persons who talked to Teoh before his death.

Mr. Tan Boon Wah was separately summoned to MACC Office for interrogation on the same day as Mr. Teoh. Tan had said he saw Teoh in the commission’s pantry at 6 am the morning Teoh died when he was leaving the office after being interrogated.

What MACC has achieved by interrogating Mr. Teoh the key witness in the alleged State government misappropriation of fund? Where is the CCTV recording of the interrogation? The denial that his interrogation was not recorded by CCTV is a blatant liar. If it was not recorded by CCTV, then what on earth was he detained until 3:45 am and was still at the pantry at 6 am???


Teo Beng Hock was to get married today, July 17, 2009! Expressing disbelief over his death, DAP Leader Lim Kit Siang said: "No one in his right senses will imagine to commit suicide a day before he is slated to be married."

MACC's assertion that Teoh was released at 3.45am on July 16, 2009 is not credible. Fellow victim Tan Boon Hwa (Wah) reported that although he was interrogated all night, his formal statement was only officially taken and typed into computer the next morning, finished at noon of July 16.

Teoh can be assumed to be treated the same way, which would explain why he couldn't leave the building when he was purportedly 'released' at 3.45am. Then what happened when his coerced statement was to be typed and signed?

When was Teoh's official statement typed up, and by whom? Wouldn't the computer have a record? If he was indeed released, wouldn't there be a signature already on his statement? Let's see what had he gave in his last statement!

A businessman from Perak is offering RM10,000 to those who could provide information that would lead to the arrest of the 'killer' of political aide Teoh Beng Hock.

Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar today said that police revisited the site where Teoh Beng Hock died and found window components believed to have come from the 14th floor, occupied by the MACC, next to his body.

It was previously speculated that Teoh had fallen from the 9th floor, said to be unoccupied.

The 9th floor had all window intact, apparently.

"We were checking the 14th floor window because we found components of a window on the 5th floor. We will take a closer look at the window. We suspect it is the window handle," he said.

He also said that the police have seized Teoh Beng Hock's mobile phone from the anti-corruption investigating officer and that they are looking into the call list.

"We will leave no stone unturned. We will do a comprehensive investigation," he said.

Phone in MACC custody?

Speculation is rife that Teoh was still in the MACC's custody at the time of death as the mobile phone would have been returned to him if he had been released.

He said that the police have recorded 77 statements including 25 MACC officers. He added that they will also record statements from Ean Yong Hean Wah and lawyer M Manoharan soon.

"We found that he was in contact with these two individuals before he died," he said

He said that they would also record statements from Teoh's family and friends.

He also urged Kajang municipal councillor Tan Boon Hwa to come forward to give a statement following the police report he had made.

"If he refuses to do so, we will evoke Section 111 of the Criminal Procedure Code to compel him to give a statement.

"We can also charge him for giving false statement, if he refuses to come foward," he added.

Tan had on Friday alleged that the MACC threatened physical violence against him and his family during interrogation.

60 percent of probe done

Teoh's death on Friday at the MACC headquarters sparked nationwide outrage, causing many to question the interrogation methods employed.

Meanwhile, IGP Musa Hassan says that '60 percent' of the investigations' into Teoh's death has been completed.

He said that the police hope to complete all the necessary work soon and will make an announcement on the matter.

There are still many questions surrounding Teoh's death which remain unanswered as police continue their investigations. Mkini

COMMENTS:

From my observation, the late Mr. Teoh was thrown out of the MACC building between 9 am to 1:00pm on July 16, 2009. This is deduced from the broken window's handle near the body of Teoh where he was found. If he had jumped off the building on his own accord, then the window's handle would not be broken. Who would pull off the window's handle when he want to jump off on his own accord??? It seems to be a murder case to me. Secondly the handphone of Teoh was still in the custody of MACC which meant he was not yet discharged. MACC was lying when he said that Teoh was released at 3:45am on July 16, 2009. PAGE Response to Minister's decision on PPSMI

GIVE PPSMI OPTION TO SELECTED SCHOOLS

Since the decision to switch to the mother tongue is to accommodate the rural students who have been made to appear to have 'lost' from the policy, the Parent Action Group for Education (PAGE) wishes to request to the Minister of Education to consider the PPSMI option be made to schools that desire to retain the existing policy in the form of SK(PPSMI) and SMK(PPSMI). This fourth option has been glaringly ignored.

If the Minister is willing to accommodate vernacular schools, he should rightly do the same with schools that wish to maintain status quo who have benefited from the policy and are confident of the 'intended objective' being met.

PAGE will be formulating a plan of action for parents that desire their schools to have the PPSMI option. In the meantime, we request that parents nationwide including Sarawak and Sabah:

1 Indicate to us the name/s of your school/s that may want to maintain PPSMI; or

2 Ask their PIBGs to liaise with us through pagemalaysia@gmail.com .

Please help by forwarding this message to as many parents as possible. We have 9,000 schools to reach!

PROPOSAL:-

As the Government of Malaysia has reverted the medium of instruction of science and maths to Bahasa Malaysia (BM) basically to please the Malays majority without thinking much for the future of the younger generations if they could interact with the foreign students when they are sent to further their studies overseas.

Imagine the students who are technically taught in BM for science and maths have to re-learn all the technical terms in English is a big challenge for those students on government scholarships to further their studies overseas.

Now the quota of the local universities should be abolished so that there is equal rights for the non-bumi to secure the place at local universities. Why set the quota for the bumi to enter local U even though they are below par??? Why should the tax payers' monies be channelled to fund the local universities and other amenities for the lectures when the non-bumi are paying the tax at equal rates??? Why should the non-bumi not be given the equal rights as spelt in the Federal Constitution. Which conditions in the Federal Constitution give the lower status of the non-bumi? The aborigines in West Malaysia are the true bumi of Malaysia. History tells us that the Malays are also imigrants from Indonesia or nearby terrorities. So why exert dominance over the other non-bumis???

If the quota system is not abolished, then the government should not revert these science and maths to BM because many parents wanted to send their children to further their studies overseas. If the kids are sent overseas at younger age before Form 5, these kids are too young to be at their own cultural shock may be another factor. But the quota system for local U is pure bias and racism in the country. Why do you have to set different quota for the same citizen??? Is that not racism???

Although the rights of the States should be protected, the equal rights of the various races to secure the seat in the local U should be based on merit of their results and not based on racial colours.

Now Mr. Teoh was dead due to fall from height at MACC building's vicinity; news circulating from email is that his death is purely racism of MACC interrogators. Why was he dead in the course of interrogation? Why was he released at odd hours of 3:40am??? Why there was no CCTV showing him leaving the MACC 14th floor???

From the circumstantial evidence, it is my hypothesis that he was thrown off the 14th floor and landed at the 5th floor or he was hit at the head with baton, lost consciousness and thrown off the building to make as if he committed suicide. The last medical report said it was due to fall from height. Are these medical doctors independent witnesses or not??? The late Mr. Teoh was about to get married as he had 2 months pregnant fiancee. I believe any father would love to see the child to be born and never do such foolish a thing to commit suicide. After all, it is a political matter and none of his personal matter. If he had a mental history, there would be medical reports to prove so. If there is no medical history and no medication of mental illness, it is very unlikely that he took his own life.

So when was Teoh officially discharged? Is there any letter of discharge duly signed? Was there any letter or subpeona for Teoh to come to MACC for interrogation? If yes, there must be a letter of discharge for Teoh to be released. As long as the letter of discharge is not issued, then MACC is still responsible. What law is this? Common laws shall apply. I am not a lawyer but I think the Common laws should apply.

It is unlikely that there is no CCTV recording when MACC interrogated Mr. Teoh as they wanted so much evidence from him that not a single second would be lost without recording.

Who can believe him when all other persons called by MACC had their statements recorded by CCTV???

My comments are that IF the police is right, then Teoh must be still under interrogation from 3:45 am until 10:30am and then there must be a heat of the moment which ensued that caused MACC to lose control of their patience over Teoh's refusal to co-operate. If he was released at 3:45am. then why was he still at MACC pantry at 6:00am? Who wanted to stay an hour longer at MACC "a place of torture"???

So the Commission of Inquiry must be set up without further delay when the MACC officers are freely available to give evidence. The CCTV recording is likely erased by MACC personnel or hidden some where else. There could be more than one copy of the CCTV recording as the advanced technology for evidence purposes cannot be so easily lost. Who did the recording that day must be called for giving the statement. Each one of them must be called and put separately at each cell so that there is no collaboration. Can the public trust the professionalism of the police??? Let the public decides.

Kajang municipal councillor Tan Boon Hwa, who was grilled by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on Wednesday, today shed some light on the corruption watchdog's questionable interrogation techniques. Tan (right) said that the two officers who questioned him tried to extract false confession from him, pressuring him to deny that he supplied 1,500 national flags for a Merdeka function at the Sri Kembangan state constituency. During the interrogation, Tan said the officers used the 'good cop, bad cop' technique; initially being polite but later switching to verbally abusing him and making him to stand for four hours between 10pm to 2am. Tan was questioned on the same day Teoh Beng Hock, the political secretary to Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hean Wah, was also interrogated by MACC. According to Tan, he was threatened with physical violence, with one officer pointing to his forehead and allegedly saying, "You don't lie. This is my place. I can hit you. Believe me!" During interrogations, he said other officers would randomly walk into the room to mock his poor command of Bahasa Malaysia and used derogatory terms such as "Cina bodoh" (stupid Chinese) and asked him if he was a Chinese citizen. The worst intimidation, Tan said, were threats to his family which he described as "mental torture". "They said that if I don't 'tell the truth', they will take away my wife and there would be no one to care for the children. But I did not give in," said Tan, during a press conference at the Selangor state secretariat today. He was allowed to sleep on the carpeted floor and the interrogation continued the following morning. Teoh seen at pantry To top it off, when he was released the following day at about 1.30pm, Tan said he was asked by MACC staff not to make an issue over their interrogation technique. "But now, I cannot keep quiet because a life has been lost," said Tan, in reference to the mysterious death of Teoh. Teoh, 30, was found dead yesterday on the fifth floor balcony of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam, nine floors below the Selangor MACC office, where he and Tan were questioned. Tan said that after he was told by the MACC officers that he was free to go, he was unaware of the fact that Teoh's body had been discovered. He subsequently left the building. Tan said the MACC raided his house on Wednesday evening without a warrant. He was then taken to the Selangor MACC headquarters at about 9pm. When asked, Tan said he did not know that Teoh was in the same building when he was brought there. The duo met only when Tan woke up at about 6am the following day while on the way to the toilet. "He was in the pantry. I greeted him, but he replied only with a 'Umh'. But when I came out of the toilet, he was gone. He did look a little tired," said Tan. The MACC says that Teoh was released at 3.45am yesterday but he chose to "stay back and sleep on a couch, where he was last seen at 6am." 'It sickens me to see that MACC is allowed to systematically harass and mentally torture opposition leaders and their aides...'. I can only guess what he was made to go through after I read the Kajang municipal councillor's account of his interrogation. It sickens me to see that Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is allowed to systematically harass and mentally torture opposition leaders and their aides whilst those in BN who had stolen billions of the rakyat's money can sleep peacefully in cosy bungalows built with ill-gotten money. What kind of country is this? What kind of government do we have that endorses cruel interrogation techniques for political gains? What kind of prime minister do we have who allows his deputy to try to squirm his way out of such a scandalous situation? They all have blood on their hands. The blood of Teoh. The blood of the rakyat who toil and labour to eke out a decent living, who have their hard-earned money taxed and then have those taxes used to finance operations like MACC. Decent-minded people cannot allow our government to continue holding on to power by such foul means. Let the rakyat never ever forget this. Let the rakyat not be fooled by the big-time public relations exercise going on now. This government has to go. Jeffery: Why Teoh? This is not the first time our country has heard of people falling from buildings - there were similar cases of Indian Malaysians who were held in police custody. Indeed, there were cases like Teoh's in the past but Malaysians were not interested because the dead were Indians. MACC officers are not as professional as our police and they have misjudged the importance of this guy. They thought he was just like any ordinary guy who was expandable. This is my most polite response to his appeal for calm. How can we be calm when our public institutions like the MACC, police and the judiciary, are being misused to prosecute the federal opposition, in this case hounding the aide of a politician to death. Why not Teoh's lawyers compare the nature of questioning with that of Khir Toyo and let us see whether they practise the same standard of questioning? Khir stated: "The difference is, BN politicians do not make MACC the 'scapegoat'". It makes me laugh! Khir Toyo, why should BN politicians make a scapegoat out of MACC? Tell me, so far did MACC ever net any high-profile politicians involved in scandals? Yes, small ikan bilis there are many caught. But those involving billions are enjoying the spoils with impunity. Ooop! Immunity. On Minister: Don't blame MACC S Vignesvaran: Nazri should resign for the betterment of the Malaysian people and country. He is so arrogant to make such an idiotic statement about the death of a young and responsible citizen. If he is saying that no one should come to a conclusion, I'm puzzled how he knew that Teoh jumped out of the building even before the investigation starts? If Teoh was not a suspect, why was he being held up until 4am in the morning? Why the MACC so eager to interrogate a person who was merely providing information, especially involving Pakatan members. If Teoh was a BN member, it will be a different story indeed. Another victim of MACC's 'racism'? PETALING JAYA, July 18 — Is the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) racist? DAP member Dariff Din is buttressing that claim, saying today he was a victim of racial remarks by the body's interrogators looking into alleged misappropriation of state allocations by DAP state lawmakers. Dariff, who is assistant to Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lau Weng San, is the second person to make the claim after Kajang municipal councillor Tan Boon Wah who made the same allegation yesterday. "They asked me if I was Chinese or Malay and I told them that I was Malaysian but they kept insisting on my race," Dariff told reporters at the DAP Paramount service centre when relating details of his interrogation on July 15 by MACC officials. He said they were mainly interested in his ethnicity rather than the case itself, adding the officer was curious because he looked Chinese but had a Malay name. He told them his father was Malay and mother was Chinese. "Everything went smoothly after they learned that I was a Malay Muslim," Dariff said, adding he was questioned about his background for another hour before they asked him how Lau's office spent the state allocations. The investigator went through all the files they seized from Lau's office, Dariff said, adding he was surprised the officer even asked if anybody had attended the programme even though there were photos to prove the event was not a hoax. "They told me that now there are computers, so the photos can be made," he added After the interrogation was complete, Dariff asked for the written statement but the officer refused and claimed it was against procedure and it was a secret. "How can it be secret when I made the statement?" Dariff asked, adding he was questioned from 4.30pm until 9pm that day. Dariff also asked the interrogator why he was being investigated when there are bigger cases like the PKFZ. "It is not our jurisdiction, it up to the head office. We are only Selangor," he quoted the officer as saying. Dariff added that he was allowed to roam freely in the office and claimed he saw Teoh Beng Hock being escorted to the back of the MACC office at 6pm. Teoh was found dead a day later outside the building. Lau has now instructed his assistant not to attend any interrogation in the MACC office until the investigation is complete and there is royal commission inquiry into Teoh's death as their personal safety is at risk. He said he believes the MACC has no proof but is fishing for evidence against opposition assemblymen and is using scare tactics to get them. Apart from Lau's office, the MACC officers also raided the service centres of Teoh's superior, Selangor state executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah. They only introduced themselves as MACC officers and demanded Dariff go to the MACC office for questioning.
